Metal Bats

Please review the schedule, rules, and format for the event below.

NO SPIKES or SEEDS on the field, in the dugouts or in the stands (for any turf field).  Immediate ejections for players, coaches, and fans. Molds, turfs, or tennis shoes are fine.   

Note: Always follow the online version for updated schedules (NOT A SCREENSHOT). 

RULES:

Game times will be 2:00 finish the inning.

Five Tool will provide 2 new balls per game. Have some extra throw ins.

Teams may bat 9 or 10 only. Both EH's & DH's are allowed. 

Pitch Counts and Innings Pitched are at the coach’s discretion.  We will not be enforcing any pitching limitations. MLB Pitch Smart Chart Link: https://www.mlb.com/pitch-smart/pitching-guidelines Please be responsible.

National Division Friday/Saturday

American Division Friday/Saturday

Bracket Play

National Division

Sunday Bracket/Championship Game: Top 2 teams in each pool will advance to a semi final game on Sunday. Winners will advance to the championship game.

American Division

Sunday Bracket/Championship Game: Top 2 teams in each pool will advance to a semi final game on Sunday. Winners will advance to the championship game.

All pool and consolation games may end in a tie. No extra innings.

Bracket games will go to bases loaded, one out for the inning after time expires or the 8th inning, including the Championship Game.

Run rules are at 8 after 5.

Catchers MUST wear hockey style masks. No skull caps.

One way pitch calling technology is allowed.

NFHS rules in place otherwise.

Coin flip for home/away in pool and consolation games.

Tie-Breakers

  • 1. Head to head – If 3 teams are tied, Head to Head is thrown out unless 1 team has defeated both of the other teams that are tied in the pool
  • 2. Runs allowed
  • 3. Runs differential (max at 8 per game)
  • 4. Runs scored
  • 5. Coin toss


FRANKLIN RANCH COMMUNITY PARK RULES:

 It is the responsibility of each organization to make sure that players, parents, and coaches know and follow the park rules. 

NO STEEL CLEATS ON ANY FIELD 

Concessions will be available. 

Scoreboard remotes should be available. Check with umpires or site managers for info.

 No SEEDS of any kind OR GUM on the fields or in the dugouts. There will be a $300 fine per team per offense. 

 Pets and Wildlife: Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. All wildlife in the park is protected. No animals on the fields or in the dugouts. 

 Fishing: Fishing in the ranch pond is free and open to the public; however, it is CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY, unless a special fishing event is facilitated by Franklin ISD. Texas Community Fishing Lake special regulations as well as statewide regulations apply. For special and statewide regulations or fishing license information, contact Texas Parks and Wildlife, www.tpwd.state.tx.us, or (512) 389-4800.

 Restrictions: Campfires, fireworks, dunking booths, ATV’s, golfing or practice driving of golf balls, firearms, air guns, crossbows, and bows and arrows in park are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. 

 It is unlawful to: SMOKE ON SCHOOL PROPERTY (NO SMOKING ALLOWED) – Franklin Ranch is owned by Franklin Independent School District NO ALCOHOL ON PROPERTY, no possession of glass bottles or glass containers in park, you cannot cut or destroy vegetation in park, there is no wading or swimming in Park Pond

 Canopies/Tents (Driving Stakes or Puncturing the Park Grounds): The majority of the park has a very intricate irrigation and drainage system. All canopies, tents and other items that need to be secured must be done by above-ground methods. Weights, sandbags, and other above-ground securing systems are allowed, as long as there is no damage to the park.
