Description
This event, which will be played at MSU Denver, Colorado Springs, Regis, and Colorado Christian, has a four (4) game guarantee and is for age 18u. Winner will receive a paid berth to the 2023 Connie Mack World Series. Full social media coverage provided with over 2,000 scouts and colleges following Five Tool channels online.
Notable Rules
- Major League Rules will be in play. You can only bat 9 and only DH for the Pitcher. A starting pitcher can be a pitcher/dh. NO EH.
- There is no starter re-entry
- There is no 3rd to 1st move allowed
- No courtesy runners can be used.
- Run Rule: 8 after 5 innings.
- Only allowed 5 visits. Anything that slows the rate of play qualifies as a mound visit. For example, if the catcher goes to talk to the pitcher, it counts as a trip. If the shortstop goes and talks to the pitcher it counts as a trip. If the coach goes to talk to the pitcher it counts as a trip. Once 5 visits have been reached, the starting pitcher has to be pulled. If a second visit during an inning by the coach the pitcher must be pulled.
- Any ejection is a minimum of a 1 game suspension and the coach or player ejected must leave the location. Failure to leave the location can result in a forfeit.
- Exceptions to Major League rules will be that extra innings. If extra innings occur, the last out runner will be placed on second with no outs. This cycle will continue until a winner is determined. Games CANNOT end in a tie.
- All games will be 7innings.
- The NCAA slide rule will be in play (You have to slide straight into a base)
- Pitching will follow Pitch Smart guidelines
- The Championship series between the 2 bracket winners will be played at Regis University: Game 1 Saturday 6/24 at 10:00 AM. Game 2 Saturday 6/24 at 1:00 PM. Game 3 (If Necessary) Sunday 6/25 at 10:00am.
- There are 2 - 7 Team Double Elimination Brackets split into National Division and American Division
- AABC Brackets will be used (This bracket format ensures the most number of unique match ups)
- All bats must be wood. No Bamboo allowed. BaumBats are allowed. This is a wood bat only tournament.
- Teams provide their own baseballs. Must be equivalent to A1010.
- No team I/O before games. You may take ground balls and fly balls in the outfield.
